Depression Treatment
Do you feel tired and fatigued all the time?
Are you overwhelmed by the day-to-day tasks of your life?
Do you struggle to get out of bed and start your day?
Do you sleep a lot but continue to feel exhausted throughout the day?
Do you feel sad and hopeless and may not even be sure why?
If you have answered yes to several of these questions, you may be struggling with depression.
Here are some of the common symptoms of depression:
- Feeling sad, empty or unhappy
- Easily irritated with occasional angry outbursts over trivial matters.
- Loss of interest or pleasure in activities that were previously enjoyable
- Sleep disturbance, including insomnia or sleeping too much but not feeling rested
- Frequently tired and easily overwhelmed.
- Changes in appetite — weight loss due to loss of appetite or weight gain due to increased cravings.
- Difficulty concentrating and making decisions
- Feeling guilty and worthless; loss of self-esteem
- Frequent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide
- Aches and pain like backache or headaches
You may be wondering what is going on with you. This is not who you are or want to be. You keep trying to snap out of it but you feel stuck. You are becoming discouraged but don’t know how to fix it. Everything that you enjoyed and had fun doing, don’t interest you any more. Small tasks feel like you are pushing a mountain. You wake up every morning tired and want to get right back into bed again. You try to fake it until you make it, but that just begins to make you feel anxious now. You hope no one can tell but wearing that false mask feels like too much effort. If you are experiencing these or similar symptoms, you may be wondering what is happening to you.
You wish you could snap out of it, but you don’t know how.
Depression can seep into every part of your life. Sometimes, depression is brought on by a traumatic event, death, divorce or a loss and sometimes depression strikes without a clear cut reason. However it comes about, depression can leave you feeling pretty hopeless and alone. Even the most regular of tasks or decisions can feel overwhelming. Your experience a loss of confidence and self-esteem. Anger and irritability seem to be right at the surface and often enough, this anger and blame is turned inward against yourself.
You avoid friends and family. Cooking dinner or helping your kids with homework feels exhausting. Your friends and family express concern but all you want is to be left alone.
You were always highly productive at work but now you have no enthusiasm or interest in it. You call in sick and then feel overwhelmed by piled–up work the next day. You wonder if your boss notices and you try to your best to act as if everything is under control.
If it is any comfort, you are not alone. Depression affects 17 million Americans a year, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. 6.9 % of US adults have experienced a depressive episode in the past year. Major depressive disorder is the leading cause of disability in the U.S. for ages 15-44.
Thus, as you can see, depression is a very common problem but depression treatment is effective and can be fairly speedy as well.

You will also become more aware of your particular strengths and learn to use them to your best advantage and promote healing. In a safe and confidential setting, I will help you work through your emotions and feelings with compassion, understanding and understanding. Through these depression treatment sessions, I have helped many people feel like themselves again, regain control of their moods and begin to feel joy again.
Although it may feel like moving a mountain, you may be surprised to find that depression treatment can begin to work fairly quickly. Many people report feeling better after the very first session.
Depression treatment has helped countless people move forward in their lives with more confidence, ease and self-esteem. If you are willing to go through this process and empower yourself, depression treatment can actually move you to a place, in terms of your mood, productivity at work and your relationships with friends and family, that you never thought was possible. As you begin to heal, you will notice that you have a spring in your step again and have begun to enjoy your hobbies and interests again.
You can do this because you are more strong and resilient than you give yourself credit for.
Ok, so you are ready for depression treatment, but you still have some questions or concerns…
“I feel so bad, and it has been going on for so long; can treatment really work for me?”
As I have mentioned before, depression treatment can work fairly quickly. A lot of people tell me that they start feeling better after the very first session. They feel that they have been heard by someone who understands them and who can help them overcome depression through a step-by-step approach that is effective and time-tested. Give depression treatment a chance for just six sessions and if you don’t see improvement, we can revaluate our next course of action. I say this with confidence because, if you are like most people, you will find feeling so much better and so much more hopeful.
“I already take medications. How much more can talk therapy help me?”
In general, medication can often be very helpful. In many cases, they are very useful in alleviating some symptoms. The difference between medication and talk therapy, however, is that depression treatment that includes therapy addresses the root causes of your depression instead of just targeting the symptoms. In addition, it helps you find strategies and tools to avoid and fight back future depressive episodes.
Talk therapy addresses and takes care of the whole person. It addresses issues involving your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. In my treatment of depression, I listen to you very carefully and customize the treatment plan to your specific needs and situation.
“If I was strong enough, I would be able to do it by myself.”
I understand that sometimes it can feel difficult to ask for help especially when you have not been feeling good about yourself. But the fact is, you have tried to do it yourself. What is important is not whether or not you can do it by yourself, but rather, whether or not you have the foresight and courage to see when you need help and ask for it.
“Is counseling worth the cost? Can I afford it?”
The best way to approach these doubts is to answer the questions for yourself:
- What does life feel like for you right now?
- What do you want it to be like?
- What if nothing changed?
Now tell me that changing your life is not worth the effort, time, cost and most importantly, not worth breaking the barrier of social stigma against getting help. Therapy is a solution to a problem and you are a problem-solver. You take action to get done what needs to be done. Instead of tolerating or managing the problem you take action to resolve it. How do I know this? Because you are taking action already by reading this report. You want to feel better and you know you can do it.
Lets talk about cost.
Consider the cost of getting your nails done and going out to dinner with friends, a day playing golf and hanging out with friends over a couple of beers. We do all these as a matter of course. But if you were to look at the cumulative cost of these, you would probably be astounded. Therapy is an inside out change. When your hair or nails look pretty, you feel good outside which helps you feel good inside as well. When this cloud of depression lifts, you will feel good inside and things outside will look and feel so much brighter.
So what is the next step?
The next step is to make an appointment. Just make the call to set up an appointment. I know it can feel hard to pick up the phone then forget the call. Just make an appointment online. It’s easy!
